September 23rd-27th

Homeroom- For homeroom i have only really figured out brainpop and i watch videos about any topic i want to learn about. So this week i learned about Elie Wiesel. Elie wiesel was one of the people that suffered through the holocaust. Elie was a young man when he and his family got captured into the concentration camps. he got separated from his mom and sisters and him and his dad where put to work. The people there were mistreated and got killed constantly and also got underfed. one day Elie's father was killed. Somehow he survived the holocaust and was depressed for the next few years. He got into writing and tried to make autobiographies about what he went through his first book was in some weird language and it was super big(like 1000 pages long so it was not published. Later he re-wrote it and made it shorter and wrote it in french. that book was published and he became a motivational speaker and mad many good quotes for example he said "We cannot give evil another chance". That is what i learned about this week.
  
Math-  I have did although of lessons on teaching teaching textbooks. In those lessons i learned about eh divisibility rule. The divisibility rule is helps you see if 4 can go into 87,645 in one look. This week i struggled a little bit for math and gor a low score on 62% correct. But next week i plan on doing much much better.

L.A- On grammaropolis there is three different subjects, parts of speech, punctuations, and sentences. I am already done with parts of speech and punctuations. I finished punctuations this week and have been working sentences. so far in sentences i learned about basic sentences, subject and predicate, and finished part if objects. basic sentences is what a complete sentence is for example, you ate my sandwich! that is a complete sentence. 

Science-  For science i love to do science experiments. For one of the science experiments i took a jar and put vinegar in it and then put baking soda in the jar and it stunk so bad but it bubbled up and exploded. That experiment did not work as well that i thought it would. For my second experiment i microwaved a bar of soap. After cooking it started to puff up very big. So i pulled it out and i was able to play with it.
         
drone videography- This week i have been doing alought of assignments on drone videography. For example i learned what a landscape shot was and what a medium shot was. A landscape shot is a picture of a piece of land. So for that assignment i submitted a picture of my house that I took with my drone. A medium shot is usually a picture or video that is only showing the top have of and object of person. For example a medium shot will show someone talking. This type of picture makes it easier to see what the person is saying. For this assignment i submitted i picture of the top half of a lampost.

Music- This week in music we purchased a electric drum pad. We had to do lots of research on which one would be best for me. It is a 9-pad electronic drum set, bluetooth, upgraded version hand roll up practice pad with a speaker, and rechargeable battery. Im am excited to learn on this set because it is rated great for beginners. I've also researched on Youtube about drum lessons. I plan to start lessons with a channel called Tinker technologies-Drumskool lessons. On the youtube channel I learned the different drum names and the sounds that go with it this week. 



 

September 16th-20th 2019

Homeroom- I spend all my homeroom time on brain pop. this week I learned about what an addiction is, what a black hole is, and dogs. It was very interesting to me because in space everything is on a graph in my mind, whenever there is a planet it bends down or over it. Sometimes the graph leads to a black whole that is very deep and that is what a black hole in space.

 
Math- For math this week I was able to complete lessons form 16-20 on Teaching Textbooks. For those lessons I got 100%, 95%, 90%, 90%, and 81%. In those lessons I learned about dividing big number, for example, 265,363 divided by 13, and if 13 did not go into that number equally we learned about remainders. Also on the 19th and 20th I learned how to figure out if 3 can go into 836,452 equally. all you have to do is add 8+3+6+4+5+2=28 and we see if 3 can go into 28 equally, and in this case it cannot. That is what math looked like for me this week.

L.A-Ive been working on speech and I finished it in grammaropolis. In speech I learned about nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, pronouns, conjunctions, interjections. And I am currently working on and am almost finished with punctuation. working on periods, question marks, exclamation marks, capitalization, abbreviations, commas, semi colons. And this is my progress so far. I've passed with 100%.
        
 Science- This week I did alought of experiments. For the first experiment I put four eggs on a container full of vinegar. I let that sit for about 18 hours. Then I took each egg and rinsed it in water and the shell came off. The egg was still raw but there was a layer of the egg that became like a soft,clear shell. So the egg became squishy. Out of the four eggs only one of them survived. For my second experiment I needed a pan, a match, colored water, a coin, and a clear cup. First you bend the match in half and put the coin over the bent end in the pan so that it was sticking straight up. Next I poured the water in the pan till the coin was covered and the match was still sticking out of the water. Finally I light the match and quickly put the cup over the match and it slowly sucked the water into the cup. For my third experiment I got a pan and poured milk into the pan. Next I put drops of food coloring all around it. finally i got a cotton ball and covered it in dish soap and put the cotton ball into the pan and it looked like all the colors were exploding out of the cotton ball. For my last experiment i took the egg from the first experiment and popped it with a needle and it exploded.
         
drone videography- I only have 1 more assignment for this month and me and my brother are starting to make plans for the next assignment. I have spent alought of time flying my drone this week just getting used to the controls and taking videos and pictures.

Music-I was just approved for this music program. We havent started it yet. We have researched online what kind of electic drum set and Kareoke Machine we will be buying soon. Ive also looked into lessons and examples on youtube.

 Typing- For typing I finally got to a level 30 in nitro type. Since I got a membership and got 100,000,000 dollars (which is alought of money) i was able to send money to friend and I sent 5 million dollars to my brother who did not get a membership.  Now I only have $89,090,203. My average WPM is 30 and my top speed is 37 WPM.

september 9th-13th 2019

math-i did volume for almost every day this week. For math along with multiplying numbers in the hundreds plus a little bit of subtracting decimals.

L.A-pronouns,conjunctions,prepositions,punctuation, and question marks. I also finished speech on grammaropolis.

typing- I finished all the letters on the keyboard and know i am just reviewing. which i learned home rome top roe and bottom row.

science/history books- I learned about lots of  animals, trains, cars, and eggs. I learned about what makes them different.

drone fertograghy I took a quiz about the 7 rules about flying your drone and passed with 100%. I also learned about how to edit a video.

homeroom-I spent all of my homeroom time oI brain pop . I learned about 9/11, deserts, and how different religions celebrate christmas.

Aug 26th-Sept. 6th

Math-In teaching textbooks i learned how to multiply number that where in the hundreds for example i learned 238 x 34. I also was on prodigy every single day this weeke and the week before. In prodigy we learned about how to calculate volume.

L.A- for L.A i learned about nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and interjections on grammaropolis. I also started my write source book this week.

Typing- on typing.com i learned how to type on home row. Home row includes a,s,d,f,g,h,j,k,l, and ;.

Science- for science i have been reading about what life was like in 8000 bce. For example there houses where made of clay and the door was on the roof.

drone class- for my drone class i have been reading about the laws i need to follow. also things i should never fly my drone next to. for example i learned to never fly a drone over large crowds and airports.

homeroom- I have been spending alought of my homeroom time in brainpop. today i learned about the history of pele the famous soccer player.

Week of: Aug 19th-23rd 2019


    This week i did 2 tests on study island, I learned about nouns,verbs,adjectives, and adverbs on grammaropolis. I also did prodigy for tuesday-friday, and i did 5 lessons on teaching textbooks, and 3 lessons on typing.com. I also did hours of nitro type. we also did get a membership on nitro type and prodigy. Today we went and purchased science books that we will get to next week. I also read for more than 20 mins every night this week.
